Cooking Instructions for this cookie cutter crazy potato chips recipe

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees centigrade. While the oven is heating, peel the potatoes, and put them in the large saucepan. Boil them for 5-8 minutes or until slightly (not completely ) cooked. Remove them, drain them and let them cool.

Slice the potatoes into 5-10mm thick slices. Remember the thicker the slices the longer your potato chips will take to cook in the oven. 5mm is probably best. Use the cookie cutter shapes to cut the potato slices into chips.

Place the shapes on the baking paper in the baking tray spray them lightly with the cooking oil, and sprinkle with the sea salt.

Bake your potato chips in the oven for 20-30 minutes until a lovely tasty looking golden brown. The smell should tell you when they are ready too! Remove from the oven and serve while hot.

Severall versions of this recipe exist. Basically all follow the same theme, some involve precooking the potato before the bake, others cut the potato direct, spray with a light oil before baking to a crispy golden brown. This method takes slightly longer in the oven but is a simpler process. You choose the recipe that works for you!
