Mermaid Party - An Undersea Theme

Check out this awesome mermaid themed party!

Such a great theme for Summer, which by the way, is just around the corner.

This party’s success, lay in the colour! Aqua, purple and blue highlighted the day. This was definitely a girl’s party where pink was pushed to the side. Under the Sea themes are a great theme, as it’s a little more unisex and can make the male guests feel like they fit in a little more.

Highlights of the table-

-Marshmallow pops! Gorgeous twisted blue and white straws, held marshmallows atop, dipped in delicious treats, such as sprinkles, icing and coloured chocolate drops

-Multi coloured cupcakes sat on stand highlighted with baby starfish and a mini Ariel held court over the entire party

-Starfish wands sat in glasses of sand for added effect, and tiny starfish dotted the entire table

-Bright macaroons, coloured jelly cups (with spoons attached- great idea!), cookies, bright chocolate beans and jellybeans, all made an appearance too

-The ice cream cake was made to fit the theme by simply adding some dried sea urchin shells with candles poking out the top

-Bunches of coloured pom poms showed the way to the table for party goers, and the table was framed by floating blue streamers with silvery sparkles

-The theme continued through to the loot bags, which is always a great way to end any party. Simple hessian sacks were made, filled with lollies and tied with a dried sea urchin safely locking up the loot.
