Banana splits recipe

Ingredients for this banana and strawberry splits recipe (serves 4)

This recipe uses peanuts. If unsure of guests allergies do not use the peanuts!

 

One tablespoon of powdered icing sugar mixture

Wafer biscuits, to serve with the fresh banana and strawberry splits

Four medium bananas, peeled

Eight scoops of vanilla ice-cream. For variety hokey pokey ice cream is good too.

250 grams of fresh strawberries that have been hulled

One tablespoon of crushed peanuts

Syrups if desired.
 

 

Cooking or Preparation Instructions for Banana and Strawberry Splits

Thinly slice four of the strawberries. Set the sliced strawberries aside. Place all of the remaining strawberries and the icing sugar together in a blender and blend the strawberries and icing sugar until smooth.

Cut the peeled bananas in half lengthways. Divide the bananas between long boat shaped dishes, two per dish. Top the bananas with two scoops of ice cream.

Drizzle with the blended strawberry mixture. Top your fresh banana and strawberry splits with sliced strawberries. Sprinkle with the peanuts (check none of your guests has a peanut allergy). Serve with the wafer biscuits wedged in on an angle.
